H.A.T.S. - Huntington Adventure and Treasure-Seeking Society

Welcome, Adventurers, to the Huntington Adventure and Treasure-Seeking Society! H.A.T.S., for short. We seek hardy souls who want to explore their own imaginations. Ever want to fight flying, fire-breathing lizards? Venture into haunted castles? Slip between the stars and ride the warp of space? Poke an ogre with a wooden stick? Not that we recommend that last one…

My name is Sean and I've created H.A.T.S. as a Role-Playing Game group for playing a variety of games. Once a month we meet to play an RPG at the Main Street Game Café in Huntington to enjoy something a bit different. I have surplus of fantastic games I want to play, beyond the admittedly great "Furnished Caves & Reptile Arsonists" that dominates the field, and I'd love for you to join us. I'm looking to play such awesomeness as Dungeon World, Tenra Bansho Zero, The Black Hack, Numenera, Blades in the Dark, Eclipse Phase, Zweihander… (fades into the distance with more mumbled titles)

If you've ever wanted to play Dungeons & Dragons but weren't sure where to start, this is a great place. I'm very interested in helping new players get into the hobby. A lot of the games will be similar to D&D, but simplified for quicker play. Each time we meet it will be a fresh story and characters, so no worry if you miss one or haven't been to one before. I will bring everything you need, so just pack your sense of adventure.

THIS MONTH! On May 19th, 2019, I will be running Dungeon World, a stripped down, fast-paced love letter to Dungeons and Dragons by Sage LaTorra and Adam Koebe. The adventure will be "Stellarium of the Vinteralf" by Michael Prescot and Michael Atlin.  Explore an ancient observatory built by elves, ruined by dragons, and crawling with danger!

Next Time: Mothership. A Sci-Fi/Horror game in the spirit of Alien, The Thing, or Event Horizon.

Third Sunday of each month at 2PM, $10
