For adventurous gamers, today’s a day to explore something new! We’ll have different RPGs being run throughout the day by our expert GMs - from Kids of Bikes (think Stranger Things, Stephen King, E.T.) to Masks (young superheroes finding that work/life balance while fighting crime in Halcyon City), this is a chance to try a new RPG in a beginner-friendly environment.
Schedule for the day:
Masks is a tabletop roleplaying game in which you play young superheroes who are growing up in a city several generations into its superheroic age. Halcyon City has had more than its fair share of superheroes, superteams, supervillains, and everything in between. Over the course of three different generations of super-people, Halcyon City has seen it all.
You play members of the fourth generation, young adults trying to figure out who they are and what kind of heroes they want to be. The rest of the world is telling them what to do, but they’ll find their own path amidst the noise. And kick some butt along the way. After all, what’s the point of being a hero if you can’t fight for the things you believe in?
12-4pm Swords Without Master
Swords Without Master is a game of adventure, violence and wonder. Become rogues in a world of swords and sorcery, living by your wits and prowess, plunging into the unknown, and seizing from it untold treasures.
In a world filled with lieges and serfs, rogues are neither and beholden to none but themselves. This makes them sexy, dangerous, powerful people living outside of society, taking what they need however they can. They may be at times a thief or a pirate or a sellsword or a bounty hunter, they may even occasionally be a slave or a king. But eventually, they will always find themselves back on the road surviving by their own wits and prowess.
The world is full of wonder and danger, that’s exactly why they walk in it.
2-6pm Kids On Bikes
The door to the old house creaks open, the rust on the hinges groaning as you see the dust floating like spores in the air inside. By the faint light of your cheap flashlights, you see the stairs to the upper floor, its railings gnarled and broken like crooked teeth. Their curve makes the stairs seem almost like a hungry grin, and you wonder if their age will support your weight. Still, you must go in.
The only question is who will go first?
In Kids on Bikes, you'll take on the roles of everyday people grappling with strange, terrifying, and very, very powerful forces that they cannot defeat, control, or even fully understand. The only way to face them is to work together, use your strengths, and know when you just have to run as fast as you can.
6-10pm Dungeons & Dragons
The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more.
