kids & teen programs

Looking for a unique, social, and educational after-school experience for your child? Playing board games develops social and critical thinking skills that will last them a lifetime, and provides hours of screen-free fun.  We offer classes that will introduce kids to a variety of games, from ancient strategy to modern empire-building and everything in between. Those looking for a more immersive experience may want to try our Teen D&D Night, where players will create unique characters and play the popular role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons with our experienced staff.

In these 2-hour drop-off sessions, kids will learn a wide variety of strategic games with our expert staff while having a blast with friends. Starting with simple puzzle games such as Mancala and Quarto and progressing to complex, multi-layered games ranging from Catan to Takenoko to Imhotep, students will boost their game knowledge in a fun, caring, and individualized environment. Game choices are custom-picked for each age group to highlight a range of cognitive skills. Role-playing games, or RPGs, are interactive storytelling games where players (along with guidance from the game master) create their own characters and shape the story as it unfolds. Whether you’re an experienced adventurer or a first-time dungeon delver, our Dungeons & Dragons night is the perfect place for teens to play the most popular role-playing game in the world. Our expert staff will be running short adventures (approximately 2.5 hours), and players can choose to participate in single sessions, or return each week to play in an ongoing story.
