NEIL GOLDBERG, Owner
Neil is a longtime collector of tabletop strategy board games and can’t wait to bring the fun and community of tabletop gaming to Huntington Village.
He’s seen first hand the impact of “unplugging your game” can have on friends and family. His favorite part of the hobby is introducing and teaching a board game and watching the group fall in love with the experience. He believes Main St. Board Game Cafe will quickly become one of the best after-dinner, after-school or after-anything places to have a great time and good food and drink in Huntington Village.
This is a second career for Neil. Prior to starting this business, he was sports producer at New York 1 News for almost 20 years. He got paid to go to ballgames for free and watch sports on TV professionally. But this job is better.
DIDI FEUER, Director of Games and Programming
Didi Feuer has been playing board and card games their whole life, and loves nothing more than spending a cozy evening with friends playing Magic: The Gathering or Dungeons & Dragons.
Didi worked as a Games Specialist at the Brooklyn Strategist for nearly 4 years, where they taught board games to kids of all ages in the after-school program, ran nighttime events such as Games with Strangers and Commander Night, and even developed and debuted an original superhero RPG.
As the Director of Games and Programming here at Main St. Board Game Cafe, Didi is excited to bring their expertise to a whole new neighborhood. They hope to showcase the expansive, ever-evolving world of modern board, card, and tabletop games, and to help build and foster a warm and welcoming gaming community here in Huntington.
ALAN COOLEY, RPG COORDINATOR
Tabletop role playing games has been one of Alan’s passions for over a decade. He loves getting to share in a storytelling and world-building experience with others. Much of his expertise is in Dungeons & Dragons, but he’s also well versed in Mutants and Masterminds, Dungeon World, Call of Cthulhu, and many others.
He’s functioned as both a player and a Dungeon Master (also known as a DM) for numerous one-shots, adventures, and full fledged campaigns containing people of many different ages and backgrounds.
Alan will be teaching players how to get started: what you’ll need to play a game, how to run a game, and answering any additional questions you may have. He will also be in charge of running multiple tabletop games and ensuring everyone has a great time.
